1. Select the reading time.

Changing the arbitrariness of the reading time and choosing the reading time can overcome the influence of environmental factors on the reading of the glass tube level gauge to a certain extent, so that the reading time can be selected when the temperature is relatively warm and the temperature is closer to the average temperature of the day Or when it is close to the internal temperature of the storage tank, the solenoid valve reads before sunrise in summer and at around 9:00 in the morning in winter. However, this method has a certain impact on production operations and is not convenient enough.


2. Replace the liquid in the level gauge.

Before reading, replace the liquefied petroleum gas in the pipe of the glass tube level gauge. You can 1) release the liquefied petroleum gas in the pipe and replace the new liquid in the tank, but this method is not safe; 2) add a hand Shake the pump to return the liquefied petroleum gas in the pipe to the storage tank, and then put new liquefied petroleum gas from the tank, and then read the level data as soon as possible.


3. Install metering equipment.

Consider adding an explosion-proof radar sounding system on the top of the storage tank, which is difficult to modify on old tanks.

The glass plate direct-reading level gauge is difficult to read accurately. What about the magnetic tracking steel belt level gauge on the spherical tank? The actual situation is that a large part of the installed domestic steel belt level gauges are invalid. This is because: First, there are problems in manufacturing technology and installation quality, and the valve actuator steel belt is easily stuck; Secondly, its use environment is harsh. When unloading the LPG ship, especially when the liquid level in the tank is very low, the LPG entering the storage tank at high speed will violently churn in the tank, causing the steel belt level gauge system to fail. The buoy and its guide wire fluctuate greatly, sometimes causing the magnetic suction head to fall off, making it impossible to measure, and some even make the guide wire unhooked and entangled with each other, thus completely losing the metering function; in addition, even the steel belt level gauge system There is no problem, but the density of liquefied petroleum gas of different composition and different temperature is also different, which causes the buoyancy of the liquid to the float to be different, which affects the display accuracy of the liquid level.


In addition to the glass tube level gauge, another factor that affects the accuracy of measurement is the average temperature of the gas and liquid phases in the tank. Due to the limited length of the temperature probe into the tank, the measured internal temperature sometimes does not reflect the average temperature.


In short, in contrast, the steel belt level gauge is not as reliable as the glass plate direct-reading level gauge, and selecting the appropriate reading time can effectively overcome the impact of environmental factors. In addition to liquefied petroleum balloon tanks, other storage tanks for storing light liquids should also pay attention to their readings when the glass plate level meter is set.
