Reasons and treatment methods of electric actuator failure


One. Indicator light failure  

 

1. Failure phenomenon: After the solenoid valve is energized to the electric actuator, it is found that the power indicator does not light up, the servo board has no feedback, and the signal does not act.  


Fault judgment and maintenance process:

  

Because the power indicator is not on, first check whether the fuse is open. The gas solenoid valve is intact after checking the fuse. Comprehensive failure phenomenon can be inferred that the fault may occur in the power supply part of the servo board. The high temperature solenoid valve then checks the power indicator. Use a multimeter to detect that the indicator light is open, replace the indicator light and troubleshoot.

  

Conclusion: An open circuit of the power indicator will cause the entire servo amplifier board to not work. 

 

2. Failure phenomenon: (found during debugging)   


After the actuator of the electric actuator is energized, the signal can be turned on, but it will not work.

   

Fault judgment and maintenance process: first check the feedback circuit carefully to confirm that the feedback signal is not faulty. When the signal is turned on, the on indicator light is on, indicating that the opening is normal. When the signal is turned off, the off indicator does not light, indicating that there is a problem with the thyristor part. Turn the column level gauge first to check the off indicator, use a multimeter to detect that the off indicator is open, replace it and eliminate the fault.

   

Conclusion: The thyristor does not act when the off and on indicator lights are off (open circuit). 

 

two. Resistor-capacitor  

 

1. Trouble phenomenon:   

After the PSL210 actuator is energized, given a signal (example 75%), the actuator will fully open to the end and then return to the specified position (75%). 

 

Fault judgment and maintenance process:  

 

According to the above failure phenomenon, we must first judge which is the problem with the servo board and the actuator. Remove the servo board from the actuator, directly connect the power cord to the X5/1 and X5/4 terminals, the actuator moves in the closed direction, and connect the power cord to the X5/1 and X5/2 terminals, the actuator If the actuator moves abnormally in the open direction, it means that the fault lies in the actuator. Use a multimeter to test that the motor winding is normal, and then measure the resistance on both sides of the capacitor and find an open circuit. Replace it and troubleshoot.  


Conclusion: When encountering the above failure phenomena, first determine which part of the failure occurs, and then determine the root cause.  


2. Trouble phenomenon: After the actuator is energized, the closing signal (4mA) is given to the actuator to fully open and then fully close.  


Fault judgment and maintenance process: first remove the servo amplifier board, directly energize the actuator and find that the original fault still exists. Check the resistance. The resistance value is normal, indicating that the resistance is no problem. Check the motor winding and find that the resistance value is normal and the motor is no problem.


It is inferred from the fault that the capacitor may be bad, replace the capacitor again and eliminate the fault.  


Conclusion: When this problem occurs, first suspect resistance and capacitance.  


You can twist it. Re-install the motor and install it in cooperation with the actuator. The power is normal and re-commissioning.
