Suitability of solenoid valve

1. Medium characteristics

1.1 Different types of solenoid valves should be selected for quality gas, liquid or mixed state. For example, ZQDF is used for air, ZQDF-Y is used for liquid, and ZQDF-2 (or -3) is used for steam, otherwise it is easy to cause malfunction. The ZDF series multi-function solenoid valve can pass air and liquid. The media status will be notified when ordering, so that the installation user does not need to adjust.

1.2 Products with different specifications of medium temperature, otherwise the coil will burn out, and the seals of the multifunctional electric actuator will age, which will seriously affect the life.

1.3 Medium viscosity, usually below 50cSt. If it exceeds this value, use ZDF series multifunctional solenoid valve for special order if the diameter is larger than 15mm. Order high viscosity solenoid valve with diameter less than 15mm.

1.4 When the cleanliness of the medium is not high, a recoil filter valve should be installed in front of the solenoid valve. When the pressure is low, a direct-acting diaphragm solenoid valve can be used as CD-P.

1.5 If the medium is in directional circulation and does not allow reverse flow, ZDF-N and ZQDF-N units require two-way circulation, please make special requirements.

1.6 The temperature of the medium should be selected within the allowable range of the solenoid valve.

2. Pipeline parameters

2.1 Choose valve port and model according to medium flow requirements and pipeline connection mode.

For example, for switching from one pipe to two pipes, choose CA5 and Z3F for small diameters, and ZDF-Z1/2 for medium or large diameters. Another example is to control the confluence of two pipelines, please choose ZDF—Z2/1, etc.

2.2 Select the nominal diameter according to the flow rate and the valve Kv value, and the same pipe inner diameter can also be selected. Please note that some manufacturers do not mark the Kv value, and often the valve hole size is smaller than the interface pipe diameter.

2.3 Low working pressure difference The indirect pilot type can be selected if the working pressure difference is above 0 or 04Mpa; the low working pressure difference of the anti-frost liquid level gauge is close to or less than zero, the direct-acting type or the stepwise direct type must be selected.

3. Environmental conditions

3.1 The high and low temperature of the environment should be selected within the allowable range. If there is any out of tolerance, a special order should be made.

3.2 In the environment with high relative humidity and water droplets and rain, etc., waterproof solenoid valve should be selected

3.3 In the environment where there are frequent vibrations, bumps and impacts, special varieties should be selected, such as marine solenoid valves.

3.4 For use in corrosive or explosive environments, corrosion resistance should be selected according to safety requirements.

3.5 If the environmental space is restricted, please use the multifunctional solenoid valve, because it saves the bypass and three manual valves and is convenient for online maintenance.

4. Power conditions

4.1 According to the type of power supply, select AC and DC solenoid valves respectively. Generally speaking, AC power is easy to access.

4.2 AC220V and DC24V should be preferred for voltage specifications.

4.3 Power supply voltage fluctuations usually choose +%10%, -15% for AC, and allow about ±%10 for DC. If it is out of tolerance, voltage stabilization measures must be taken or special order requirements must be made.

4.4 The rated current and power consumption should be selected according to the power supply capacity. The solenoid valve must pay attention to the high VA value when AC starting, and the indirect pilot solenoid valve should be preferred when the capacity is insufficient.
