Application of solenoid valve in industrial production (1)

Solenoid valves are widely used in industrial production, especially in the petrochemical industry. Valve actuators can be used for on-off control (two-way) of water, air, neutral gas and other gases and liquids suitable for solenoid valve materials (two-way), and as an indispensable part of safety interlock protection system (three-way) , Four links, five links).


  The solenoid valve is composed of solenoid parts and valve body. The electromagnetic part is composed of fixed iron core, moving iron core, coil and other parts; the valve body part is composed of slide valve core, slide valve sleeve, spring base, etc. When the coil is energized or de-energized, the operation of the magnetic core will cause the fluid to pass through the valve body or be cut off to achieve the purpose of switching or changing the direction of the fluid. The solenoid valves used in the safety interlock protection system mainly include two-position three-way, two-position four-way and two-position five-way. The meaning of two-position is: for the solenoid valve, it is electrified or de-energized, and for the controlled valve It means to open or close.


   Two-position three-way solenoid valve is composed of valve body, valve cover, solenoid assembly, spring and sealing structure. The sealing block at the bottom of the moving iron core closes the air inlet of the valve body by the pressure of the spring. When energized, the coil is excited, the electromagnet is attracted, the sealing block with spring on the upper part of the moving iron core closes the exhaust port, and the airflow enters the valve from the intake port, which plays a control role; When the electromagnetic force disappears, the moving iron core moves down from the fixed iron core under the action of the spring force, opening the exhaust port, blocking the air intake port, and the valve changes its switching state due to loss of air.


   Two-position four-way and five-way solenoid valves have the same principle, except that the four-way has one exhaust port and the five-way has two exhaust ports. Their working principle: when a current flows through the coil, it produces an excitation effect. The fixed iron core attracts the moving iron core, and the moving iron core drives the spool core and compresses the spring. The high temperature solenoid valve changes the position of the spool core, thus changing The direction of the fluid; when the coil is de-energized, the spool will be pushed back by the elastic force of the spring, and the iron core will be pushed back to make the fluid flow in the original direction.
