Failure characteristics of electric actuators

There are many kinds of electric actuator failures. Some are caused by a component failure, some are caused by the component/component integrated factors in the system, and some are caused by electrical, secondary circuits and external factors. Some faults can be solved by adjustment methods, some are due to long use time and poor accuracy, requiring repair and replacement of parts to restore the performance of the high-temperature solenoid valve, and some are due to poor original design and need to be improved to eliminate.

1. Occasional and sudden failures

This type of fault is manifested as an accidental sudden change in time. The fault area and cause are more obvious. It is caused by non-human and human factors, such as poor contact of position feedback devices, wear and "locking" of brake pads, component damage, and coil burnout , Seal failure, etc.

2. Failure characteristics of electric actuators

      (1) Failure during debugging

The fault problem of the new electric actuator is more complicated, and its characteristic is that the quality problems of design, manufacturing, installation and management are intertwined. Common faults include serious leakage, difficult to adjust and stabilize the speed, and dirt or oil stains that cause the transmission mechanism to jam or malfunction. Some components are missing or incorrectly installed with springs and seals. Some are also due to improper design, improper component selection, unstable movements, poor positioning accuracy, etc. To deal with such failures, you should deal with them patiently and carefully, and eliminate them one by one.

      (2) Early and mid-term failures

The fault characteristics of the gas solenoid valve entering the normal production stage after commissioning are: a few seals are damaged in a short time due to assembly quality and material quality problems and leak oil; burrs, sticky sand, impurities and dirt that originally adhered to the pipe wall and hole wall The falling of the object causes the unstable operation of some components. Generally in the middle of operation, the system components/components are in good working condition and the failure rate is low.

      (3) Failure during late operation

After the electric actuator has been running for a period of time, various components/components have worn out exceeding the standard due to the difference in working frequency and load conditions. The fault characteristics at this stage are poor position feedback contact, poor positioning accuracy, decreased stability, significantly reduced efficiency, and a gradual increase in failure rate. At this time, a comprehensive inspection and replacement of failed parts should be made. There should be no improvised or countermeasures. The investment should be scientifically and strictly determined to make a comprehensive repair. Otherwise, it may cause a lot of trouble to the operating personnel, and even seriously affect the normal adjustment and control of the solenoid valve unit. control.
